Hello once again.

this week was a very troubling week…midterms are starting next week and i have no idea whats going on with my classes except that marketing is easy and black people had a tough history ~_~ but whatever. utilizing a trick with masking, i once again made myself float with no actual jumping involved haaaaaa added some of the fluff to make the shot more interesting but tbh.. i feel like this is not interesting whatsoever. i dont even consider this conceptual because theres nothing expressive and there is no story behind this photo ~_~ its just a “nice photo”

SATURDAY AFTERNOONS !? photoshoot time. had the pleasure of meeting up with some of the newest additions into fotoclub via @yay4christinne & @allenchiu honestly these guys are really really good.. theyre already better than me and im just playing catch up T_T Thanks to @Cortney and @Kate for modeling for us :33

thanks to @Klout i got 100 mini business cards from moo (only had to pay 5 dollars for shipping!) and let me tell you.. these are AWESOME definitely a great choice in choosing 24 different photos and even though theyre mini cards, they show a good amount and are nice enough to slip into anything… definitely these are just for fun and i will be getting full sized cards but i think ill pass these out to people who actually matter or are on the card and then it’ll be like a collectors edition HAHA

anwyays the cards themselves feel REALLY thick like comfortable thickness and resilience when you try to bend it… even though theyre mini cards, they make a really good sound when you flick it alittle and it feels nice. the matte coloring is very very appealing and i can say i was alittle worried about the color correction on some of the photos i took but THATS OK because all of them came out NICE. the 24 images i chose are somewhat my portfolio pieces but at the same time portray my style properly. shooting random landscapes, snapshots of food, surreal lifestyle, exciting event photos of celebrities and non alike, and then wedding photos.. all of these cards show a focused image and before i was real iffy about having this kinda style but now i realize how cool it is and enticed to actually buy full sized cards with my photos on them as well. i still have my minimalistic cards so ill be using those when i need to pass out cards massively but definitely i will be going to moo again to get my next set of fullsized cards :3

this photo originated from @JohnnyYacoub and his conceptual photo with his girlfriend but i developed the photo into my own style and came up with this! Rene Magritte also has a subtle influence over me with covering my face and of course all the big name conceptual artists (Alex Stoddard, Karrah Kobus, Derren Versoza to name a few…) play a huge part in my reasoning to do this photo..

the title is “Remnants of Ignorance” and this photo continues on with my January theme for my “52 Weeks Project” where wind is the main contributor to all the photos for January. about 35 layers in photoshop and 7 hours later i arrived to this finalization.. I dont exactly know if this is conceptual.. but more of composite.. but whatever :p

Success! everything went 99.9% smoothly (minus the jib camera running out of battery literally at the last minute of the show)

after we went to Roscoes House of Chicken and Waffles which was also my first time.



Bad lighting, did the best i could to salvage the images :[ but man the chicken was juicy, the waffle was light although not as crispy as i hoped… (comparing to bruxie a little..) but the sweet tea was damn delicious.

and then Ty wanted a picture… so i took one :p

tip #32: learning photoshop might be hard at first but there are tutorials out there that can teach you all that you need to know.. but the only catch is you have to have the motivation to learn! learning a simple S-curve can easily enhance your image or even removing chromatic fringe does wonders. google is your friend.

also i think i will be posting simple photoshop guides that are basic 1 layer adjustments that can be stacked on top of each other or a breakdown of each layer and how to use it to its half-potential… because i dunno what im doign on photoshop ROFL

this is the third time ive used sycamore canyon for my self-portrait ideas… definitely one of the better spots for open area and those forest kinda feels…
also if you havent noticed.. i cut my hair short. no more of that long black kpopstar mane ive become known for… its been a short 5 months since i got it cut :[ but it’ll be a short 5 months til its long again :3

overall i feel like my creativity isnt going anywhere.. but its only week two. and compared to last week.. this definitely is alittle more “creative”

tip #31: plan out your ideas on pencil & paper or notepad on ur desktop. and plan it for areas that match your idea.

not gunna compare each gathering with each other but this time, it was in a studio setting.. with lovely model @Xiang.
also i would like to say… sorry for my weak skin editing… IM NOT THE BEST EDITOR WITH SKIN T_T

definitely she has that Look. and confidence of a god because about 10 photographers were mashing on strobes to get their photo with her. honestly, if i had that many cameras on me i wouldnt know what to do but she handled it like a boss. TOO GOOD.
